Mercury in High Fructose Corn Syrup??

Anyone who knows me probably knows how disgusted I am that there seems to be high fructose corn syrup in just about everything these days. There is a lot of research that HFCS is the cause of a lot of health problems. At the minimum, it raises the standard of "sweet enough." I encourage everyone to read labels! It can be in just about everything--from bread to soups to just about anything else you buy.

And now this week, information has come out that there may be mercury in HFCS. A research group found "detectable mercury" in approximately 31% of products with HFCS. You can read more about it in this article from WebMD and decide for yourself how much of this stuff you want to put in your body.

If only half of this is true I should be glowing like a CFL lightbulb!
Seriously, this another sad excuse for poorly monitored food products!
