#Book #Review How Sweet it Is by Alice J. Wiser

I also had the opportunity to read and review How Sweet it Is from Bethany House by Alice J. Wiser. This is a story of healing, hope and learning to appreciate the smaller things in life.

Broken hearted, Deena Livingston decides to start over after inheriting her grandfather's cabin in the mountains of North Carolina. His only request was that she would teach a cooking class for disadvantaged children at the community center. Although she barely knew her grandfather, he seems to have known and understood her sorrow. Through her class and new friendships, Deena learns to embrace the sweet things in life again.

"Everyone has problems and unexpected events and sorrows in their lives. So learn to live with your sorrow while reaching out to others, also in need. You may think your troubles are the worst, but there are always those suffering more than you are."

This is an easy "feel good" read that reminds us to focus less on ourselves and more on others and to enjoy the sweet things in life.

The list price of this is $13.00 but Amazon has it for $11.19 with free super saver shipping on orders over $25.

Disclosure:  I received a copy of this book for review purposes.  This review contains my honest opinions.

I usually read Crime novels but this does sound like a good book. I may have to check it out.
