Book Review: Find Your Strongest Life

Think you know what it takes to be a happy and successful woman? You might be surprised to learn the facts. Find Your Strongest Life--What the Happiest and Most Successful Womend Do Differenly by Marcus Buckingham is a powerful guide for women who want to discover how to live a happy and successful life. Buckingham examines 10 myths about the lives of women today, most notably that women today are less happy than men and less happy relative to where they were 40 years ago. Exploring these myths, Buckingham defines what a strong woman is and how you can discover the strong moments of your life to become happier. He has developed a wonderful test for woman to identify what their lead and supporting roles in life are and then explores how women can use these roles to be happier.

This is an excellent and interesting read both for women who are struggling with being happy and for women who want more direction in their lives. Reading this book, I found that I was nodding in agreement at his research (which supported my own personal thoughts) and what successful women do differently. I feel that I have used my life moments to create greater happiness in my life and his book has reinforced the decisions I have made. It has also created greater self-awareness and inspired me to continue to use my strong moments in being happier and more successful.

My only negative is that the women he used as examples in the book were career oriented. It would have been nice if he included more examples about women who have decided to stay at home and raise their children.

This hard cover book, published by Thomas Nelson retails for $29.99, but just released, is selling it for $19.79 with free super saver shipping!
