Book Review: Pirate Hunter

Pirate Hunter by Tom Morrisey is an action packed novel on the high seas. Two story lines dominate this book, one from the past and one from the present, both exploring the truth that “where your treasure is, your heart will be also.” Young Ted is a pirate searching for adventure and Greg is a marine archaeologist, both trying to escape their pasts.

This book has all the elements to appeal to a wide audience: humor, romance, adventure and drama. I really enjoyed the humor early in the book but it did fade as the storyline became more serious. The romantic storyline was a little corny and predictable and the book seemed to go through a lull partway in, but quickly became exciting again. The adventure was engaging, with both stories coming to climax concurrently. The theme of forgiveness reigns in the end.

This book, published by Bethany House, retails at $13.99 but Amazon sells it for $10.07 with free super saver shipping.
