I Have to Rave about Purina One @purinaOne

I have a very sweet, loving dog, named Daisy.  She is almost 9 years old.  Over the past couple years, she has really had problems with arthritis in her back knees and had gotten a lot worse this past year.  We had her on glucosomine and chondroitin and that would usually keep her from limping.  But a couple times we had to put her on Rimadyl when her arthritis flared up really bad and she would be crying in pain.  On the rare occasion she would run or jump and play, she would be in pain later.  Her legs bothered her so much that she was afraid to walk on the wood floors to her dog bowl because her back legs would give out on her.  She mainly would lie around most of the day.  I attributed a lot of this to age.

But here recently, she has not been in pain at all.  No limping and no lying around.  She has been very playful and puppy-like.  On her nightly walks, she is absolutely crazy!  It is like we have a 2 year old dog again!  She wants to play with us daily, is alert and fun again.  After jumping and playing, she shows no signs of pain or discomfort.  She is even braves the wood floors.

I asked my husband if he had been giving her the glucosomine and he said no.  He pointed out that we had changed her dog food a few months back from regular Purina One to Purina One Vibrant Maturity.  Nothing else can account for her change in behavior other than this dog food!

As taken from their website, Purina One Vibrant Maturity has:
  • Enhanced botanical oils naturally nourish to help sustain a Bright Mind as a dog ages
  • Real Chicken contributes protein for strong muscles, and mobility
  • Natural sources of Glucosamine help maintain healthy joints
  • Antioxidant Rich nutrition contributes to immune health
  • Omega Fatty Acids and Vitamin E for healthy skin and coat
So, if you have an older dog, please try Purina One Vibrant Maturity--it really works!

Thank you, Purina, for giving me my dog back!

Update:  Over 3 years later and she is still going strong!

I'll have to keep this in mind when my dog gets a little older. He is only 2 right now.
