St. Jude's Ranch Wants to Recycle Your Old Cards!

I came across this really neat program, which is targets a few things close to my heart--recycling, card making, helping abused children and a great deal--so I just had to share it with you!

St. Jude's Ranch for Children, located in Nevada and Texas, has a 40 year history of healing and caring for abused, abandoned and neglected children.  One of their projects is recycling cards.  Over thirty years ago, as a way to show their donors appreciation for making St. Jude’s Ranch for Children possible, they recycled old Christmas cards into new ones.  The donors loved the idea so much that they suggested they sell the cards.  And so, the the St. Jude’s Ranch Recycled Card Program was created.

People mail in their used cards and the children recycle these cards into new ones.  And not just Christmas cards, but other occassions as well (birthday, thank you, religious, Easter, etc).  They then sell these cards in packs of 10 for $10.

This is a win-win situation for everyone.  We can help abused children, the planet, and we can score a deal on cards.  Where can you get a card so cheap?

Anyway, they are currently in need of cards.  If you have old cards, why not bundle them up and mail them to St. Jude's Ranch for Children.  Cards may be donated by sending them to:
