Book Review: I Wish You Enough

I Wish You Enough—Embracing Life’s Most Valuable Moments One Wish at a Time by Bob Perks is a lovely book reminding us that true happiness lies in enough, not having more.

This is a small gift-sized book (about 5.5” x 6.5”) with an embossed cover and beautiful graphic designs on thick, glossy pages. The stories that fill the pages are based upon Perk’s poem I Wish You Enough:
I wish you enough sun
to keep your attitude bright.
I wish you enough rain
to appreciate the sun more.
I wish you enough happiness
to keep your spirit alive.
I wish you enough pain
so that the smallest joys in life
appear much bigger.
I wish you enough gain
to satisfy your wanting.
I wish you enough loss
to appreciate all you possess.
I wish you enough hellos
to get you through the final goodbye.

The stories are short, about 1-3 pages, and are followed by bible verse.

I love this book, from how it feels holding it in my hand to the touching stories that encourage growth. Treat yourself to this book or to give as a gift. I especially think it is well-suited for a high-school or college graduate as they enter the world. It is also suitable for a best friend, someone who is facing an illness or injury, a teacher or as a confirmation gift.  This is my first choice in a gift book!

This book retails for $12.99 but Amazon.com has it for $9.35 with FREE supersaver shipping.
Note:  I received a copy of this book from Thomas Nelson Publisher to review.  This review contains my honest opinions.
