EvoraKids--The First Probiotic Oral Care System for Kids--Review & GIVEAWAY!

CLOSED!  WINNER IS KARENMED409!!  Congratulations!
I recently had the opportunity, via The Product Review Place, to test out a new line of oral care for children.  Oragenics has recently launched a product called EvoraKids, which is a priobiotic-based, all-natural oral care chewable designed to promote good oral health in children ages 3-10 years old.

EvoraKids reaches where toothbrushes and floss can't--the crevices on the chewing surfaces on the teeth.  The major cause of tooth decay is Strptococcus mutans, a comman bacteria found in plaque.  It thrives in people who eat a lot of sugar, and especially in children who eat sugary foods often (unless you live in my house) and haven't learned good oral hygiene yet.  The idea behind EvoraKids is that the probiotics can effectively compete with this harmful bacteria to help support healthy teeth.

EvoraKids is 100% natural and made in the USA in a FDA registered and GMP certified facility to ensure the highest quality ingredients and complete integrity.  It contains no artificial colors or flavors, no wheat, gluten, soy or GMOs, and no sugar or artificial sweeteners.

Since my youngest daughter had two molars come in without any enamel, we have to be very diligent in her oral care.  I was very curious about this product and decided to give it a try.  The chewable tablet is small and round, about the size of a vitamin tablet.  It comes in Wild Very Cherry Berry flavor.  My eldest daughter, who doesn't care for much for hard candies or vitamins, did not like the taste, stating it was, "too sweet."  However, my youngest daughter chewed it right up and said she loved it!

Does it really work?  Clinically, I can't say.  However, there is tons of research to support the use of probiotics for so many things that it makes sense that it would work.  The company makes a similar product for adults that has been newsworthy and even reported by Hugh Downs. (Click HERE to see news reports.)

Have more questions?  Check out their webpage at http://www.evorakids.com/.  EvoraKids retails for $19.99 for 60 tablets/1 month supply and can only be ordered online.

I get them to brush their teeth by using fun-flavored toothpaste. Fruity flavors by Tom of Maine is a favorite.

I have three little ones ages 2, 3 and 4 and we make it fun by seeing who can make the silliest faces while brushing their front and back teeth/tongue etc. It is a like a miniature competition and is really fun. At the end, they know that Mommy will help them finish and get in all the extra nooks and crannies.

We've had good brushers. I try to brush for them as long as possible...but when mom is done, they get a turn to 'brush' (play) on their own.

My daughter was a bit fussy about brushing her teeth. Then for Christmas I bought her an electric Dora toothbrush and now she's always asking to brush them when she's on the potty lol. It gives her something to do and the bubblegum toothpaste helps motivate her to :)
