Onions--Time and Money Saving Tip

Ever have a recipe that calls for a small onion and all you have is a large?  Have onions that are about to go bad?  Don't waste them--freeze them!  That's right--freeze!  Whenever I chop up an onion and have leftovers, I either place them in a ziploc freezer bag or small container and put them in the freezer.   Next time I need chopped onions in a recipe, I can just pull them out of the freezer.  Have a bag that you are not going to be able to use before they go bad?  Peel, chop and freeze.  This also saves time when cooking a meal at a later date.
