Review and Giveaway: This Little Prayer of Mine

This Little Prayer of Mine by Anthony DeStefano is a delightful children's book about prayer.   This poetic book introduces children to the simple prayer of talking to God in their day to day activities.  The beautiful illustrations by Mark Elliot depict two young children, a boy and girl, in daily activities that are familiar to young children.

This is a well written book containing many important messages that teach children to turn to God in every day language.  It shows how to ask for what they need, ask for forgiveness, express thanks and reassures them that God is always near.  I especially liked the message that if you trust in God, there is nothing in the world you can't do or be.  It shows that a child's "little" prayer can be very powerful.

My girls, ages 3 and 6, both love this book.  I think this book is probably appropriate for children up to age 8.  My girls and I, naturally, find ourselves singing, "This Little Prayer of Mine..."

I would like to win this book for my twin granddaughters (4 years old). Every chance I get, I try to get them books (never to young to love books). This would be a wonderful addition to their library.
