First Impressions--My Ramblings

Sometimes, we can forget how much a little kindness may do for others.  One day, I was in the grocery store and the woman working in the floral department greeted me warmly and asked if I needed any help.  We discussed how beautiful the flowers were and I went on my way, thinking she was quite friendly.  It has been a month or so since I last saw her, but when I was in the store yesterday, I passed her in an aisle.  I spotted her before she saw me and started to smile, remembering how friendly she was.  Of course, once she saw me, she greeted me with a large smile and said hello.  I told her how my first encounter with her affected me today even before she spoke.  A little kindness from her went a long way.

This incident can be a lesson for all.  I was quickly reminded how even in our day to day tasks, we can brighten someone's day.

Food for thought:  How do you treat others?  Will they remember you?  And what will they remember you for?  Will you touch someone today?
