Book Review: God Loves Me More Than That by Dandi Daley

God Loves Me More Than That, by Dandi Daley Mackall and illustrated by David Holn, is a beautifully illustrated rhyming story about the powerfulness and gentleness of God’s love for a child.  The thick pages boast soothing colors with entertaining, imaginative pictures.  The book features a boy questioning God’s love for him and finding just how great God’s love is.

I love the book.  The storyline has a great, rhythmic flow and the illustrations are wonderful.  I love how it reassures the reader of God's love for them.  The only thing I find disappointing is that the only character is a boy.  It would have been so much better if they had included a girl on every other page.  My girls enjoyed the book, but I think that they would have enjoyed it even more if there had been a female character portrayed on some of the pages.  This is a great picture book for children up to age 7-8.

Disclosure:  I received this book for free from WaterBrook Multnomah Publishing Group for this review.  This review contains my honest opinions.
