Lucky You, Lucky Me--Free Redbox Movies
Redbox and Social Moms (formerly Twittermoms) have teamed up this St. Patty’s Day to share some luck for all my readers. First, redbox is running a special Redbox Lucky to Have Friends Like You Promotion where by spreading the word about redbox and you'll earn a free online rental credit every time a friend rents online using your referral link through March 17th. You can read more and sign up here: http://www.redbox.com/luckysocial.
They also have asked me to share what makes me feel lucky. I guess “lucky” isn’t quite the word I would use, but blessed. I am so lucky (or blessed) in so many ways that I can’t even number them. I think the greatest thing I feel lucky about is my husband. I have so many friends who have married men who are, for lack of a better word, jerks. Men who don’t prioritize their marriage, men walk out on them, not pay child-support, drunks, lazy, don’t work, and so on. My husband is wonderful! He is engaged with me, listens to what I have to say, communicates with me, is hardworking, kind and loving. He is a wonderful father! Which brings me to my next bit of luck, my two daughters.
I was told I might have problems getting pregnant due to endometriosis. Marrying a second time at 34, I did have trouble getting pregnant. After surgery, procedures and medication, I finally managed to get pregnant. Then, I was able to get pregnant again a couple years later. I am so lucky to have two wonderful girls! They are both healthy, and I am so thankful for that. They are also both so kind and loving.
And another bit of luck (aka blessing), when I had my first baby, I prayed that my parents, who are much older, would live long enough for her to have memories of them. I only have memories of one grandparent and always wished I had known the others. Now, 7 years later, both my girls have fond memories of my parents, who are now 83 and 86.
I am lucky to have had a father that instilled good financial sense in me. This has carried on into my marriage and my husband has adopted this way of thinking so we are financially sound by making wise choices.
I am lucky to be in good health. Even though I suffer from an accident 13 years ago and have pain on a daily basis, I am lucky that health and fitness has always been a priority in my life. I think that is why I am able to deal with the pain despite.
So, as you can see, my luck (blessings) is great! I hope my readers will take a minute to look at their luck!
