Who is Cheaper? Target or Walmart

I have said all along that Walmart may offer some items cheaper than Target, but jab you on others.  In fact, I wrote a post long ago about how Walmart was significantly more on some toy items.  Another thing I have found is that cheaper prices on some things usually means cheaper quality at Walmart.

The local media did a comparison of the two stores.  What were their findings?  Target has lower prices when you add in items other than food (and only $2 less when you don't). You can read John Matterese's article HERE.

Me?  I'd rather shop at Target any day. Stores are cleaner, items are in stock, personnel is friendlier and readily available, and they open extra registers if there are more than 3 people in a line.

Seriously? Target is cheaper? Really? Hmmm... wow, I'm going to check out that article because I thought their clothes cost a lot more... But you are right that the quality is better. Maybe I need to rethink my shopping especially after that customer service incident at Walmart.

I I prefer Target for clothes because, while they do cost more price-wise, they are better quality and last longer, giving you more for your money. But I do all my grocery shopping at Walmart because their prices beat any local grocery chain. You are right about Target being cleaner and friendlier, but beggars can't be choosers!

I think it might depend on what you are purchasing.. yep the quality of clothes is better at target.. but i seem to get better deals at wal-mart.. the adult and teen section doesn't see, to offer much variety at target, the small kids and baby items they seem to have a lot.
