Finding Toy Deals in Unusual Places

If you aren't a crafter, you may not know this, but stores like Hobby Lobby and Michael's carries some toys, books and children's craft kits.  Sign up for their ads, check your paper, or search online.  You can usually find a coupon for 40%-50% off any one item, which can be used for toys.  They have a great selection--including great brand names, such as Melissa and Doug and Crayola.  I try to go periodically when I have a coupon and stock up on some great gifts for kids.  And don't forget that both stores sell other items that would make nice gifts, such as candles, soaps, floral arrangements, frames, and more.
