Is Your Child Safe?

How safe is your child?  Is your car seat installed properly?  If you are like I was, I always felt very unsure that I was doing it correctly, as most parents do not install their children's car seats correctly.

With Child Passenger Safety Week just around the corner--September 18-24--you can get help from Certified Child Passenger Safety Technicians to provide hands-on car seat inspections and advice for FREE!  To find a location in your area, just visit: http://www.nhtsa.gov/cps/cpsfitting/index.cfm

Here are some links that might interest you, too:
If you like to tweet, Child Passenger Safety Twitter account (@childseatsafety) will be hosting a live Twitter Q&A on Wednesday, September 21 at 2 p.m. ET. Safety experts from the US Department of Transportation’s National Highway Traffic Safety Administration will be available to offer essential information on car seats and how to safely travel with children of all ages in cars. Make sure to use the hashtag #CPSweek to follow and ask your questions you might have.

You know, I went through a period of paranoia about the carseat being installed correctly, until I went to the police department and had them show me and then install it.

Better safe than sorry, right? ;-)
