Review: NEW Knorr Homestyle Stock

Most days, you can open my freezer and find several containers of chicken stock.  I have found over the years, that homemade is much, much better, whether using in soups or recipes.  Of course, I do keep a few cans on hand for emergencies in case the freezer empties (which has been known to happen on many occasions).   I was, however, intrigued by the new Knorr Homestyle Stock.  It comes in four very little packs because it is concentrated broth--simply add 3 1/2 cups of water, which is about the size of two cans, but takes up much less shelf space.  They use the best ingredients and simmer it to perfection.

Today, I grabbed one, added the water, some carrot slices and brought it to a boil.  I added some noodles and made chicken noodle soup.  I am not sure what I expected, but I didn't expect what I got.  This was a delicious soup!  The broth has a very full flavor.  I was worried that it might be too salty for us, but it wasn't.  My girls loved the soup and both ate big bowls.  There were no leftovers today!

Knorr suggests using it not only in soups, but in skillet dishes, mashed potatoes, and rice dishes.  Or simply rub on a chicken to roast and also use in making gravy.

I can tell you that I plan to keep a lot of this on hand!  You can learn more about it, including fabulous recipe ideas HERE.
