Ideas to Keep Your Kids Busy This Summer

Here is a list of 10 fun ideas to keep your kids busy this summer:
  1. Sign up for your local library's summer reading program.  Also check for fun events the library might be offering.
  2. Paint a pet rock.
  3. Make a collage out of items found in the backyard (pebbles, sticks, leaves, flower)
  4. Create a board game.
  5. Hang an old sheet outdoors (or pick one up at a discount store), fill spray bottles with watered down tempura paints and let the kids go wild painting it.
  6. Take a walk in the woods.
  7. Grab some big paper and tape it up outside on a fence.  Paint a mural!
  8. Make a treasure hunt.
  9. Make a bike wash (similar to a car wash).
  10. Have an Easter egg hunt.  Why limit this fun to Easter only?

Those sound like some fun and busy activities, but I want my children to go to a summer camp or something and do that with someone else. LOL :-)

These sound like some great ideas. My boys are both old enough now to do some of these. Thanks for the ideas!
