Review: Expecting More Pregnancy Workout DVD

First off, no, I am not pregnant, but I was asked to review Expecting More - Sara Haley's Daily Sweat Pregnancy Program workout DVD for pregnant women anyway.  Since my butt needs a little get up and go, I thought, sure, why not?

Sara Haley is a fitness expert and Reebok Global Master Trainer.  She desigened Expecting More when she was pregnant because she was bored with just prenatal yoga and realized that expectant mothers want more from a fitness routine.

I can tell you one thing, I wish I had this DVD when I was pregnant.  This video is designed specifically for pregnant moms.  It doesn't tell you that you have to get out there and kick some booty to stay fit while pregnant, but is very encouraging and positive.  There are 6 different workouts which are designed to meet your fitness level regardless of how you are feeling.  Sara emphasizes that you really need to listen to your body and do what feels best for the day.  She encourages you to modify your routine if you feel uncomfortable and not to take chances.

The DVD's explain how to exercise properly while pregnant and provide plenty of options--cardio, strength, and calming.  The exercises are designed for pregnant women's needs, including kegal exercises.  The DVD set comes with a calendar which has suggestions for use for each trimester.

I really like how positive and encouraging she is.  The workouts definitely will keep you fit at a moderate level.  The only thing I didn't like is that she uses the word "sexy" when referring to our bodies.  Yes, we all want to feel sexy, but the little ears in my house picked up on that.

Disclosure:  I received a copy of this DVD in order to facilitate this review.  I was not compensated for this review.  This review contains my honest opinions.
