How To Stop Annoying Political Phone Calls

I can turn off the TV to ignore all the political nonsense, but I can't turn off my phone.  Well, technically, I can, but then I would miss out on all my other important calls (insert sarcasm).  I just read a great website about how to stop political phone calls.  Per John Matterese of WCPO.com, Shaun Dakin from StopPoliticalCalls.org suggests the following:

  • Call your local elections office, and remove your phone number if it's in their files. Candidates and parties have legal access to your name, address, and phone number there.
  • Call the local Democrat or Republican party headquarters, and remove your number there too.
  • Sign up on the Stop Political Calls web site. (stoppoliticalcalls.org/index.php)

You can read more about this at WCPO.com: http://www.wcpo.com/dpp/money/consumer/dont_waste_your_money/how-to-stop-annoying-political-calls#ixzz22zgJHENQ
