Love a Blog? Leave a Comment!

Many bloggers are stay at home mothers, like myself.  Some are working mothers.  Some are fathers.  Any way you look at it, blogging is something we do for various reasons.  As bloggers, we can look at our stats and see how many people are reading our blog, but those are just numbers.  The one thing bloggers love is comments.

I know we are all busy and life is hectic.  Even I don't leave comments as much as I'd like, but I do make every effort to leave some, even if it is just now and again.  Leaving a comment on a blog post is so important and here is why:

  1. It makes bloggers feel "loved."  We spend time writing and love to hear that you like (or don't like) what we are sharing.
  2. The more comments, the better we look.  The better we look, the more pitches we get from companies, which often include great giveaways, that you, the reader, can benefit from.
So, if you love a blog, make sure you leave a comment every now and again!  Oh, and by the way, hitting the Facebook "like" button, the Google + button, the Tweet button, etc. is a nice thing to do, too!

ISn't this the truth! I wrote a whole post one time about what bloggers get 'paid' - I absolutely love when people actually respond and tell me something. Just ot know that someone actually takes the time to read my thoughts is amszing! Great reminder! Have a great weekend!

Everyone complains about that but yet there are still so many few comments being left. It feels great knowing someone took the time to read what you are blogging about and even an "I agree" or "girl, I hear you" is appreciated.

Exactly! Quite a few people tell me they read my blog, but don't comment. Although I'm happy to hear they read I would love to really know they read. It makes me feel good to "see the love." I'm like you I don't get to comment as often as I would like, but I sure do know the importance of it.

Great post.

I totally agree! I love it when people comment because then I know I'm not just talking to myself. :)

I have ro say I am in to quality not quantity as far as the content of the comments. I always try to leave a comment that is related to the topic of the article I am reading and/or a personalized comment that lets the author know we are on the same subject.

I have gotten to the point that I no longer comment (heck, I hardly visit) the same blogger or author's works or forums if they do not reciprocate to some degree.

All of us have time limitations of some sort refardless of whether we're online for earning opportunities or for pleasure. We need to learn to invest our time and effort where there is a return--just like we would do with our financial investments! It took me awhile, but I am finally learning to do just that.

Hey Ann--you know you are loved by abitosunshine!
