Over 100,000 people a year are killed or injured in accidents when a driver is texting and driving.  Texting and driving is just plain dumb.  You are 23 times more likely to be in an accident while texting.  And what is even more stupid is the people who say that it is the other drivers--that they can text and be safe.  NO YOU CAN'T!  I can't tell you the number of times I have seen people driving erratically only to notice that they are texting.  Put your phone down when in the car.  Better yet, turn it off.  There is no message that is so important that you should risk your life or someone else's.
