Rain! I Love it!

I was a little bummed out that we cancelled our Labor Day camping trip.  I was really looking forward to going camping since we haven't been out since the first weekend in August due to life.  However, the forecast was for 7" of rain so we figured we had better cancel.  Saturday rolled around and not a drop of rain yet and the forecast changed to 1-3".  It wasn't till Sunday evening that we finally had rain, and boy did it come.  Within 24 hours, we accumulated 3.5" of rain.  That is more than we had all summer! I am so thankful for it!  It is amazing how much the flowers and plants perked up so quickly!  As much as I wished we had gone camping, I am every so thankful for the rain!

And with the rain, we did have some fun indoors, going bowling, going to the museum and enjoying dinner with friends.  Hope you had a great weekend, too!
