#Giveaway and #Sweepstakes Purex Plus Oxi @Purex

I used to think getting food off baby clothing was tough.  But that was before my kids were big enough to run outside and play on their own.  Now I have been introduced to grass and mud stains and who knows what else.  They prove to be a bit tougher.  And sometimes, I am not aware that they have these stains till they come out of the laundry.  Thankfully, I line dry most of the laundry, so the stains are set in even more by the dryer.  One thing I have always turned to get tough stains out is Oxi.

Now, you can buy my favorite laundry detergent plus Oxi all in one!  Yes, that's right, you can now get Purex Plus Oxi.  Which is perfect for all sorts of stains.  In fact, I really put the Purex Oxi to the test.  My husband competed in the Tough Mudder competition.  For those of you who are unfamiliar with this, people compete in a crazy race, crawling on their bellies under barbed wire through mud, running through electric lines, jumping over fires, etc.  In case you were wondering, yes, my hubs is crazy and yes, he did survive.

Here is a picture of my hubs during the race (I, unfortunately, had to work so I wasn't able to be out there with my zoom lens, but he did get a couple pictures from friends).  My hubs is the guy on the left, covered in mud.  Notice the shirt tied on his waist.  It has white sleeves (but you can't tell).  He is pretty covered in mud here.

Here are his clothes and towel after they were hosed off and dried mud was scraped off.

As bad as it gets--ground in mud.
Seriously.  I did not want to clean these things.  Not even sure I wanted them in my washing machine.  And I definitely did not want to scrub them.  Then, I looked at the bottle of Purex Oxi I just got in the mail.   Looked at the clothes again and said, Why not? and just tossed them in the laundry.  Let's see if oxi can take care of this mess.  I figured after the big gunk was off, I would scrub the clothing.

I threw them all in the washing machine together on hot, adding the Purex plus Oxi.  This is the end result.  No scrubbing, no pretreating.  Nada.  Zip.

Clothing washed, not scrubbed or pretreated, with Purex plus Oxi.
Wow--can you believe it?  I really thought I was going to be scrubbing these clothes!  You can see that the socks are a bit stained, but look at the before!  I bet if I let them soak overnight, they would have looked brand new!

In the past, when a load of super dirty clothes come through the laundry, I automatically added a scoop of Oxi to the load.  Now, I don't have to!  And of course, I don't need an additional stain remover--I can just pre-treat stains with Purex plus Oxi.
