The 2013 Great Backyard Bird Count (GBBC) is an annual even that involves birdwatcher of all ages in counting birds to create a real-time snapshot of where the birds are in the US. It begins Friday, February 15 through Monday, February 18. It is very easy to participate in. You simply print off a list of birds common to your area and for at least 15 minutes on one of these days, mark down how many of each species you see. Then you simply enter the information on the GBBC website.
This is a fun family project and perfect for a winter day! You will all enjoy it!
