Before You Drink that Soda, Read This!

Harvard School of Public Health just released a report about sugary drinks and health.  Researches believe that approximately 1 in every 100 deaths is caused by sugary beverages. (Source)

The Harvard School of Public Health has a nice little fact sheet HERE that tells all about how the amount of sugar in sodas as risen each year and research that shows people who drink sodas are more likely to suffer from diabetes, obesity, and have or die from a heart attack.

Pretty sobering facts, which are often disputed by the beverage industry.

So this is new research that reiterates what we've already known for 20 years.

Yikes! Makes me glad I haven't had soda since January 2001. I didn't intentionally give it up; was sick and had a prescription for Clariton which made my mouth so dry that all I wanted was water. The habit stuck.

Please everyone, kick that sweet tooth! If I can give up sugar, anyone can...and I don't use any artifical sweeteners either.
