Speedeebee! "FUNNEST Game Ever!"

Blue Orange Games, Speedeebee
I just finished playing Speedeebee! by Blue Orange.  In the words of my six-year old, it is the "FUNNEST game ever!"  (If Steve Jobs can use funnest, I guess my six-year old can, too.)

Speedeebee is a travel-friendly game for children 8 and up that has won the 2013 Teachers' Choice Award for the Family by Learning Magazine. It comes in a cute little round tin and contains 50 card, 4 letter dice and rule.

We found the game very easy to learn.  Basically, there are over 150 word challenges.  A player picks a challenge, reads it aloud and rolls the dice and the challenge begins.  Challenges might be something like, "Name an object you can use while camping, containing none of these letters (that would be on the 4 rolled dice)."  The first person who correctly answers the challenge, wins the card and chooses the next challenge.  Some other examples of challenges are " Name a song title containing this letter (choose one letter die to roll)" or "Find a word containing this letter twice (throw one die)."  At the end of the game, the person with the most cards wins.

Blue Orange Games
Playing by the rules using just the 20 cards took us about 15 minutes to play, so it is a fun, fast game.  My girls were very eager to play it again.  I loved that the game really gets their minds thinking.  Although it is rated 8 to Adult, my nearly 7 year-old was actually the quickest at coming up with correct answers and won the game!  The small tin is a nice, compact case for the game and makes this a great choice for taking along on trips.  I also love that you can play one game quickly, or add additional rounds for extended play.  I love that it encourages various skills, such as cognitive speed, vocabulary, spelling and reaction time.  But most of all, I love how fun it is!  You can tell just by seeing their faces how much children love this game!

You know what? My Daughter talks like that too.
We try to play board games often, because it is interactive. I would love to try this game. Thanks for posting the Amazon link too...good to know that the game is reasonably priced too.

This seems like a really fun game. We take road trips a few times a year and this would be great to have along with my two kids and I. It is a challenge and fun at the same time.

That sounds like fun and also could be a good way to keep everyone entertained in the car. My younger son would especially enjoy playing.
