Bubble Bum--A Portable Booster Seat @bubblebumusa #sponsored

I was contacted and asked to review a complimentary Bubble Bum Booster Seat.  This is a portable, foldable, inflatable booster seat that is in a bag.  It boasts that you can fit three seats in a row, so that piqued my interest.  However, I was concerned about meeting safety standards.  Once I learned that it meets all US Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards as required by the NHTSA (National Highway Traffic Safety Administration), I was in.  However, I was still a bit dubious of the product.

The product arrived in a plastic tube like container that only measures about 12" by 7".  Opening it up, there is a cool purple nylon bag.  In the bag is the car seat, deflated and folded.  It blew up quickly without much effort at all--three breaths for me. The valve to blow it up is a screw type nozzle so once you blow it up, you just turn it to close it.  The seat felt durable and solid.  I wouldn't have known from just touching the top that it did not have a solid base.  Of note, the seat does not have arm-rests.  Instead, it has belt positioning clips and these seemed to hold the seat belt perfectly in place.

I took it out to our 4Runner, which can not fit 3 booster seats in a row.  Trust me, I have tried.  So, if we decide to take a child somewhere, I always have to put the third row seats in.  This fit easily into the middle spot between the other two car seats.

Three in a row?  No problem.

Why I love this award-winning product:
  • It's portable!  This makes it perfect to keep in your vehicle for times that you may need to transport an extra child.
  • It's perfect for travel.  Ever gone through an airport lugging booster seats?  Not fun.  It is so small and light-weight (only 1 lb) making it perfect for traveling.  Need to ride in a taxi?  Perfect for that, too.
  • It's great for kids ages 4-11 weighing between 40-100 lbs.
  • Comes in black, or my favorite, purple.
  • Its affordable. sells it for just $39.99.  Or find in a local store such as Target.
  • Inflates and deflates quickly.
  • Durable fabric.
I think this is a really neat product.  Two thumbs up for the inventor of Bubble Bum!
