One God One Plan One Life is a 365 day devotional by Max Lucado that has been adapted for teens to help them navigate through these years with guiding biblical principles.  The teenage years can be filled with challenges and turmoil, often leaving teens confused and directionless.  This book, based upon the writings of best-selling author Max Lucado, is specifically geared with the teen in mind.  It addresses the day-to-day issues that teens face, from bullying to purity and everything in between.  The daily devotions offer teens a way to connect with God and help teens to see the life that God has planned for them.

Each page has a scripture and a message, followed by "One More Thought" which presents information or asks thought provoking questions that tie into the daily devotion.  An example from a devotion on June 2 deals with taking a swing at your giant, encouraging teens to be like David and rush to the giant in your life, with a reminder to ask God for strength.  Another on February 26 is "You'll Get Through This," referencing James 1:12 God will bless you, if you don't give up with your faith is being tested.  It is a reminder that we will have trouble but we will get through it if we rely on God.

I like the length of each daily devotion.  It is not too long or too short and I think teens will appreciate this fact.  The devotions are easy enough to read and understand and really do pertain to issues that teens deal with on a daily basis.

This is a lovely hardbound book with a ribbon marker that would make a nice 8th grade graduation gift, confirmation gift or birthday gift.  Or even a just because I care gift.  It is appropriate for both males and females.
