No one wants to come in contact with poison ivy, yet I am surprised at how many people are not able to identify it. I found this photo on the internet and I think it does a great job of clearly showing what poison ivy looks like. It looks differently depending upon the season and where it is growing. Thank you for this post. I've always heard the "leaves of three, leave them be" phrase but have never had poison ivy pointed out so that I would know, for sure, what it looks like. The various pictures are very helpful ... I now know what that hairy vine on my property is. I'm accepting your advice to bookmark this page. Thanks, again!
This is awesome. I absolutely love "if butterflies land there, don't put your hand there". I have never heard that or a couple of the other warning rhymes. I learned to identify poison ivy by looking at it from my parents. Now I have all of these new helpful ways, which I will teach my children.
This is extremely helpful. I have only previously heard of the leaves of three. Glad to see the pictures included.
